During the Lunar New Year break/holiday, me and my family went to Qingdao’s Xiaoyu Hill, as part of visiting my family.
Xiaoyu Hill is just this small and unparticular hill of many hills beside the sea in Qingdao, but during any holiday, only this hill, and I mean only this hill, was always unexpectedly full of people. So often, that the unexpected became the expected. I was also confused about just why this hill is so densely full of tourists, but after going there, it was because of tourism just so happened to pick this hill.
My family and I went there by car, so we expected parking to be difficult. To nobody’s surprise, it was. The hill and nearly everywhere around it was full of cars. So full, that the navigation app labeled them as deep red, and the roads leading to the hill were narrow, partly because it was narrower than the normal roads, and partly because cars had parked on both sides.
Finally, we found a parking spot after 10 or 15 minutes, parked and went up the hill. It wasn’t all that steep, and we finished the walk. I looked over at the beaches and skyscrapers of Qingdao. Wowee! (Quoted from A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy). It was so beautiful. The pure, golden beaches with the occasional dot of some people on it, the high skyscrapers, and smaller buildings whose rooftops were made of red tiles. Those buildings, as I learnt, were pretty historical. The people all around me were taking pictures and admiring the view, some even brought professional cameras
There was also a tower with VERY steep stairs. It had 3 floors, and the view was even better up there. But, to my dismay, the weather was also very cold up there, probably because it was so high. I did get a few good pictures, though.

The first picture (<- this one over here) is one that very clearly shows the hill on the left to be of absolutely no people.
The second picture (this one ->) shows a great view of the red-tiled buildings., skyscrapers, and a boat. For those who are wondering, the thing that it is sticking out into the water is a pier.
I absolutely would like to go back to Xiaoyu Hill again, maybe in the summer, when it isn’t that cold, but I also wouldn’t want it to be too hot. But once I get on the tower, maybe there would be a breeze, and everything would be all right.

Good job, Ryan. A little too much unnecessary detail disrupts the flow and personalisation
very nice story, keep up the good work!
