If the world ended tomorrow,
Perhaps a violent death,
A fire would do,
An engulfing inferno,
Its red-hot fangs transforming land to ash.
Perhaps a quiet death,
Just silence would suffice.
No words
No whisper
Just silence.
What have I achieved?
What have I left?
Does it matter?
Yay
Thx both teachers for commenting
You’ve got an effective alliteration across lines in your third stanza, and the questions at the end are very topical 👍
You have left this poem which evokes a deep feeling of peril as the world ends yet also a whimsical musing on the nature of existence
