So, during the Lunar New Year break/holiday, me and my family went to Qingdao’s Xiaoyu Hill, as part of visiting my family. So Xiaoyu Hill is just this small hill beside the ocean in Qingdao, but during holidays, it was always unexpectedly full of people. So often, that the unexpected became the expected.
My family and I went there by car, so we expected parking to be difficult. To nobody’s surprise, it was. The hill and nearly everywhere around it was full of cars. So full, that the navigation app labeled them as deep red.
Finally, we parked and went up the hill. It wasn’t all that steep, and we finished the walk. I looked over at the beaches and skyscrapers of Qingdao. Wowee! (Quote from A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy). It was so beautiful. The pure, golden beaches with the occasional dot of some people on it, the high skyscrapers, and the red smaller buildings. The people all around me were taking pictures and admiring the view.
There was also a tower with VERY steep stairs. It had 3 floors, and the view was even better up there. But, to my dismay, the weather was also very cold up there, probably because it was so high. I did get a few good pictures, though.
I absolutely would like to go back to Xiaoyu Hill again, maybe in the summer, when it isn’t that cold, but I also wouldn’t want it to be too hot. But once I get on the tower, maybe there would be a breeze.
