Why Flavor Foley and Deltarune go hand in hand

Hello there fellow darkners and lightners alike! Today I am here to share my opinion on why Flavor Foley and Deltarune are in fact closely related.

First of all, I would like to explain what Flavor Foley(or FF as i will be calling it as of now) and Deltarune is. FF is a small indie vocaloid producer circle where they make tons of amazing songs, Weathergirl being one of my personal favorite of the bunch. They made their debut with the song “Butcher Vanity”, a song mainly about cannibalism and obsession.

On the other hand, Deltarune is a turn and choice based rpg indie game made in a colorful pixelated style with bullet-dodging type battles made by Toby Fox. It’s a parallel universe to the popular indie game, Undertale. The game is center around a young (baby) teenage nonbinary named Kris and their friends, Susie and me, Ralsei’s journey through different dark worlds sealing dark fountains. I am not going to spoil the game too much for anyone who wants to try it.

So how is a random indie vocaloid producer circle and a popular indie game related?

Well, the answers are in the songs and the characters! Some of the songs that FF has produced have meanings and lyrics that I believe are related to the characters in Deltarune!

First song on our list is Spoken for sung by Kasane Teto. This is a song which I closely associate to Kris.

Our second song is Static sung by Hatsune Miku, this is a song most of the fandom associates with the chapter 3 character, Mr. Ant Tenna.

Our last song is Queen of Venus sung by Adachi Rei which I associate with Queen from chapter 2.  This song is especially glaring because of the similarities with the song you hear when you enter chapter 2’s dark world theme, “A cyber’s world?”. They have the same key and a similarly distinct bounciness to their tune and rhythm.
