Ski Trip to Hokkaido

Last winter, I had an opportunity to visit Hokkaido for a fiveday ski trip with my friend and her family. It was my first time skiing, and the experience was unforgettable. I spent three full days skiing at the Kiroro Mountain Center. Though it is one of the most well-known ski resorts, it wonโ€™t be crowded with people even in the snow seasons.

Kiroro is located in the mountains and is famous for its natural powder snow. Unlike artificial snow or harder snow found in other ski resorts, the snow at Kiroro is very soft and fluffy. This made skiing fun but also much safer, when I fell it didnโ€™t hurt at all.

The ski slopes at Kiroro are well-designed for both beginners and advanced skiers. Since Iโ€™m still learning, I mostly stayed on the beginner trails. The instructors there were kind and helpful, and I felt my skiing improved each day. The view from the mountain was beautiful, with snow-covered trees and a peaceful atmosphere.

Apart from skiing, I also enjoyed the food and the warm enthusiasm of the local people. After a long day on the slopes, nothing felt better than eating a hot bowl of ramen.

Overall, my trip to Kiroro in Hokkaido was one of the best vacations Iโ€™ve ever had. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to try skiing.

I like the images and your enthusiasm for this trip comes through in your writing. I wonder what the enjoyable food was like – typical Japanese food or are there local specialties in the Hokkaido ski resorts?
