Riding the clouds in the sky, X looked down at Earth’s surface, swarming with little ants like him. He glanced at his watch: 3000 (Year) Zeus ( Month) 12th. He had been traveling upon the clouds for 1 year already. Everything changed since the same day last year— Zeus 12th—, though it still seemed like a dream to him.
He remembered so clearly: That was the day when the calendar changed by itself, January replaced by Zeus. The news, the speakers in the streets, all repeated the same message: the discovery of God. The proof was confirmed by the physicists, agreed by the philosophers. Every single life on Earth tried to prove it wrong, but it was certain, even though some still tried to ignore and deny it. The nations demanded for answers, the philosophers demanded for meaning, and the rest for forgiveness.
Now, X walked on the only available trail on the sky, leading towards the mountain of the Olympus. This is a simpler thing than he imagined except everything around him seemed to repeat every few days of travel, and he was almost certain that he had entered the Labyrinth of the Sky. He flipped open the so called Greek Mythology book in his hands and opened to the page of the maze. According to that, if he kept to only one side of the road, eventually he’ll manage to escape this dizzy place. X doubted this, but had to continue.
He was assigned, yet also urged by his heart to find an answer, to demand for meaning. That day, when the mind-boggling news was released out, the world went crazy , but only silence came from heavens above. The ants were so confused, and that they needed some sort of meaning to keep their lives moving. They refuse to lower their heads before the God that ancient people once believed in, and what they considered stupid once before.
X had a stomach full of questions, ready to pour them out in-front of the Gods of Olympus, why show up? Why not let humanity just live like a bunch of ants, believing whatever they think? What meaning does humanity have left? And a tiny question for himself, if he could see Hades, and see his wife Y for the last time?
As he walked, the mist spread, he arrived at the center of the maze, and saw a statue of Hermes, shimmering under the sun light. X walked forward, but mist gathered again, blurring his view. ” Come on !” he complained to the sky. Then he suddenly slipped on something, hit something hard, and his world went black.
