SCI-FI

I woke up, confused, wondering where I am. I seemed to be in an abandoned railway station, with its cracked transparent dome revealing a slowly swirling gas giant planet in the dim sky. The world looked weird. there are bio-engineered creatures all around me. Bats with bull horns crawled on the ground, frogs with human legs leaped three meters high, and in the corners, I could see the remains of other bio-engineered creatures. And worst of all, I was tied up with ropes in the middle of nowhere. How I wish this was all a dream, and I could get back to my normal life, meet my friends and family again.

The smell is unbearable, like sewer. I had almost passed out when an invisible door opened. And a pink mushroom creature stood in front of me. The head (cap) of the mushroom is all pink, with five white circle dots on it. Its face is on the top of its stalk, with a big nose and a pair of tired eyes.

“Mushmush! Finally! A human being,” it said, sounding mechanical. “Mushmush… You’re on Bangd planet, ream zone. Mush. You are the first test body successfully transferred to our planet for scientific use. Our species only has female kasumi (in Earth language: mushrooms), so we rely on replication techniques to increase individual numbers. But the same individuals will not undergo biological evolution, resulting in the disappearance of our emotions and other important stuff. Mush. So in order to retrieve the same function as humans, we want to study your body. Mush.”

I struggled against the ropes, cold sweat streaming down. “Experiments? Why me?”

“Mush! Forgot to tell you. The survival rate is ℹ️%. Mush! Test 00001 sta…” Its voice gradually weakened until I couldn’t hear anything. My head went blank…I’m asleep…
