Reflection on Reflection Seminar

Another seminar has happened, this one about a “Meta Reflection”.

Me and Anna were the leaders for this seminar. I think this seminar turned out to be pretty good, because everyone got 6+ for B

We were assessed on B, so everyone didn’t need that much analysis, which did make things easier.

The first question: favorite or most memorable unit. Our class said The Hobbit was good, and also To Kill a Mockingbird. The charm of good units turned out to be engaging SAs, or fun knowledge.

Second question: which book from the MYP curriculum would recommend to new students. Astro said To Kill a Mockingbird was good. She said that it can make students do deep analysis.

Third question was about the full MYP literature course. Obviously, the seminars left students scarred for life. But surprisingly, someone remembered ethos logos and pathos.

Final question was suggestions to improve ELL. I agree with Astro that bigger classes should be split, like 7ELL. Big classes give less chance of students to speak in seminars
