Because of my range of activities didn’t go beyond the provincial level in 2025,my family decided to at least step out of “JiangSu” in Christmas holiday. And the destination is:the spicy city located in south-west:Chengdu. For facing against the legendary spicy food in Shu region,we build a strong mental preparation.
Though this preparation was collapsed since the first taste of the”Slightly spicy”hot pot. Because of Chengdu’s prosperous nightlife,we head straighead towards the hot pot canteen at 11:00 pm. The spiciness of Chengdu’s hotpot surely gave us an extreme taste Impact.”Does this count as “slightly”spicy?!” 😐 is the only thing comes up to my mind. But,that taste is actually great. The base spice’s flavour is stronger than every hot pot canteen in Suzhou. And the food supply is also diverse(such as dragon fruit + shrimp).
In the next few days,we experienced the intense culture,history and the city featuresin Chengdu.And I understood a thing for sure:enthusiastic is Chengdu’s base color. For the culture,we went to the Sanxingdui museum and Wuhou Ancestral hall. To me,The Sanxingdui museum is a huge alien demostrating room. But what matters is that these aliens are made of ancestors from 5000years ago. It feels miraculously when you realize these odd bronze things are made by ancient people. The Wuhou ancestral hall seems less interesting, But I still get to know some historical facts in the 3 kingdoms period.
When you walk on Chengdu’s streets,there’s no shops brand just writing their brand name.Every merchant is eager to let their shop become the most attractive in the street. Their competiveness is too intense,and formed a bustling,beautiful scene. This is why I like this city,it has a liveness that other cities don’t own. It’s not the vitality of skyscrapers and luxurious brands in Shanghai or Beijing, it is the liveliness of life. In here, you can smell the sense of citizens’ love for their life,their city. As if like everyone is living with great passion. That is why I like this place. 😎
For the next holiday coming up,my destination will be Changsha. Which has the similar base color with Chengdu!
