Reflection for seminars 1&2:
The topic for seminar 1 was ” Why Travel?”, led by Serena and Emma ；）We talked about the purpose of traveling and what exactly could be defined as travel. To me, the purpose of traveling might be to relax, to gain information, or to seek a better place to live, and the definition of travel might simply be to move from one place to another. We also had a small debate on whether refugees moving could count as traveling. My opinion on this is that since they moved to another place, they are traveling. Overall, I think I did pretty well in this seminar, and became less introverted.
In the second seminar, we talked about travel quotes( printed on a sheet of paper and handed out by Dr. Terrett). We had four leaders, and each group had four people. The leaders did the rating. After a certain amount of time, everyone(except for the leaders) went to another group. In this seminar, everyone got a high score because we said the same things over and over again in different groups. Dr.Terrett also previded us with some questions to talk about, such as “which quote resonates with you the most?”, the quote that resonates with me the most is” I’m going on an adventure”. I got my personal best in this seminar.
