I DID NOT KNOW I’VE WRITEN ABOUT ZOOS IN MY PREVIOUS SCHOOL WHAT

So. As you all may know, I recently made a decent essay on zoos. As I was going through my laptop, I FOUND ANOTHER ESSAY I WROTE 2-4 YEARS AGO WHAT #HBEdbhu

Anyways, enjoy an essay I wrote in 5th grade 🙂

Wild Animals Shouldn’t Be in Zoos

What’s your favorite wild animal? You’ve probably seen videos of them hunting, climbing around or, huddled in big groups. Now imagine that same animal sitting in a small prison. Does something feel off? Zoos are harmful for animals because, animals find it hard to live in these spaces, a lot of things happen to them when zoos don’t want them and most importantly, animals get separated from their families.

Firstly, according to PETA.org, animals can’t hunt, run or climb to find their food but instead they get stared at by small kids and adults visiting. They aren’t able to move around freely since of the limited space they have. Also, in the wild getting watched by other animals means danger and if us, humans are watching them, they would get extremely terrified. Lastly, being imprisoned comes with great stress and that leads to mental and physical damage. Think about it. If you were watched daily, wouldn’t you feel stressed?

Secondly, when zoos don’t want an animal a lot of things could happen to them. Usually when an animal is too old or too sick, they would get put down AKA get killed. Animals should feel loved even before their last breath. Another thing zoos would do is sell their animals to “roadside zoos’’ which are zoos that treat animals much worse. When they get sent away, they could be stuck in a van or a plane and that could be scary for the animal whether a bear or an elephant.

Lastly, animals get separated from their families. When young animals are separated, they would feel scared since they’re too young to know what’s going on. Cubs who get taken away may have eating problems according to Newsela and that could be because of stress of getting taken away from their littermates. Mentioning this, these animals aren’t free unlike their own littermates. They can’t run and jump around like their littermates can.

In conclusion, people wouldn’t have to worry about the safety of the animals. Animals would be much happier in their natural homes than in zoos. They would be able to run, fly, swing and, other things they love doing. Zoos aren’t able to take proper care of wild animals and they should be where they belong, the wild.

Amazing i know thank you thank you.

  1. Ah, fixed the strange bug on this post 🙂
You had a whole bunch of hidden code following your writing that rendered a cover over the whole screen that prevented interaction. No idea where that would’ve come from – did you write it on an app with weird cursor effects and then copy to Mushroom? Anyway, problem solved.

More importantly, thanks for sharing this! Model essays are very helpful, and especially when written by students 👍👍
