Prometheus was a Titan who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humans. Angered by this action, Zeus decided to punish humans. Zeus commanded all Gods to give Pandora a characteristic. Athena dressed Pandora in a beautiful silvery gown, an embroidered veil, a crown, and garlands. She taught her needlework and weaving.
