Why might there be more than one ‘correct’ way to speak English?

  1. Firstly, English are a language that is developed in Great Britain which during the extension toward North America, some of the Americans spoke through their accent but in English. Eventually, people in the region started changing the way they speak, like for example in America we call it “truck” but in Britain they call it “lorry”which the spelling and writing itself is different.

    Secondly, because there is no right answers in language literature especially when it comes to finding the only and the correct way of speaking English.

    In conclusion, because language itself never has a perfect answer, so does the way it speak, American English often simplifies spellings based on pronunciation and sometimes adopts Spanish or other foreign words, while British English often retains older, more complex spellings, especially those from French and German.
