Ermm, is Urban legend considered a myth?

Even though Urban legend is defined as Urban myth, but in my perspective I will claim that a urban legend is not 100% a myth.

First, I want to define the meaning of Urban legend and a myth. (Here are the definitions below)

Urban legend: An often lurid story or anecdote that is based on hearsay and widely circulated as true.

Myth: A usually traditional story of otensibly historical events that serves to unfold part of the worldview of a people or explain a practice, belief, or natural phenomenon.

Urban legend is widely circulated as true, an example of this is the “Aligators in the sewer” as Hundreds of news reports have reported an alligator attack in NewYork, which claims to be true, but a myth is just fantasy stories passed down generations.

So Urban legend is not considered a myth
