A Sneak Peek at the Future of The Hibernator

As I said before, I am planning on discontinuing Education Edition, but what I did not mention is what would replace it, and why.

So… I am making this post to inform the internet, that I am planning on introducing a new system that would make features more integrated into the main game as an optional choice, and that is: Modding Support!!!

I am planning on introducing Modding Support in the near future, aiming for late 2026 to 2027.

Also, the progress of updates will slow down, as I have some busy IRL stuff to deal with in the next couple of years, and development will be slow, but I’ll try not to halt it.

As you know, I mentioned Alpha 0.5.0 will be big, and here’s what’s currently planned: More modes, a new character, revamped scaling system, smarter AI, shop, boosts, and a tutorial system. And as I mentioned before when adding generators, I would make them mandatory. I plan on doing that and also making defeating The Hibernator optional, so that true pacifist runs can be achieved.

After 0.5.0, I plan on releasing more bugfix versions to port some of the fixes that were fixed in Education Edition.

For farther updates, I plan on adding the Modding Support, more lore, more modes, and boss battle (which was in an encoded message, which most of you figured out.)
