I’ve added a few simple styling buttons but they use html tags so it might be a bit confusing – easy to use if you’re familiar with html tags. I’ll leave it anyway as a temporary solution. Building a fully operational tools dashboard will be time-consuming and I cannot find any straightforward third party options.
Btw, the styling effects here are testing out the limited options in the new solution via quicktags.

I have identified the problem. It’s the editor dashboard that is broken. So, for now there’s no bold, italic, embedded links, etc.

It is a problem with a third party plugin. I’ll investigate and fix.
In the meantime, we have ‘simplified comments system’.
