Recently, we have adopted a new form of seminar, which is group seminar. I think the advantage of this kind of seminar is that it enables introverted people to talk more, like me. Moreover, it enables us to express our opinions more fully because there are only two to three people in a group, avoiding being dominated by a few students in class discussions and allowing more people to have in-depth discussions.
However, this kind of seminar also has its drawbacks. As it progresses, there will be less and less to say because the ideas have already been expressed in the previous groups. Moreover, the discussion scope of each group is relatively limited. Unlike class discussions, which can gather the information and experiences of all the students in the class, some important information or viewpoints may be missed, affecting the comprehensive understanding of the problem.
