Reflection on MYP journey seminar

Looking back on my MYP journey,

One Unit that changed my my entire world perspective was the Grade 7 IDU with I&S. Before that, I used to think industrialization only made countries stronger. But after digging deeper, I realized it also brings big social changes and sparks new ideologies.

I wouldn’t believe that teachers actively catches us when we’re using seewo, but doesn’t really say much about other behavior other students have done that in my opinion is a lot more severe. bruh

My communication skills have also grown a lot. Workingwith group members has made me more confident when I talk or write. In Grade 7 when I first got into ELL, I really struggled with reading literature, I personally find that kind of boring and struggled to focus in class. I pushed through by studying harder and asking teachers for help

I was getting a really bad score in Grade 6 Biology. It was frustrating, but it also motivated me to study more seriously for the final exam and I ended up doing well. Since then, I’ve dealt with stress by organizing tasks better, although I still sometimes fall into procrastination.

here’s a tip I’d give my past self in Grade 6: always choose your group members wisely. It matters more than you ever could think–drawn from real life experience. Also, thanks to feedback from Dr. Terrett on my essay writing, my argumentative essays has improved a lot I believe.

I definitely feel more mature and independent than when I started. I fell like it will definitely be a memorable experience

  1. Useful tip about selection of group members. I did a little bit of research on this topic a couple of years ago and found that most students, perhaps unsurprisingly, choose groups based on their friendships.  You could also have mentioned the importance of training yourself to resist temptation 😉

What’s the Seewo problem? Did you get into trouble for playing that ‘where in the world am I?’ game?
