The Clock That Went Backwards

They were hiding from Tank’s little sister in his basement when Steve bumped into an old grandfather clock, covered by a dusty sheet. “I’ve never seen this thing work,” Tank said, pulling the sheet off. The clock was beautiful, with constellations carved into its dark wood. But the hands were moving backward.

As they watched, mesmerized, the backward-ticking second hand finally reached the twelve. With a soft chime, a small, hidden drawer slid open at the clock’s base. Inside was a single, black-and-white photograph of two boys who looked exactly like them, standing in front of the same clock, wearing old-fashioned clothes. The date scrawled on the bottom was October 26, 1923. A cold silence filled the basement. “How… how is this possible?” Steve whispered, staring at the faces of their doubles from a hundred years ago.

PS I don’t have a sister😤
