Any ways as this is is my first blog, I had nothing to blog about, so I just decided to share some of my knowledge.
as for people that dont use IOS/ IPadOS devices you can just swipe away and continue doom scrolling
So what I am just sharing about is to how to install and IPA on your mobile iDevice(yes apple devices are called iDevice, hope I don’t get sued)
But first what the heck is an IPA?
An IPA is essentially an app packaged into a nice neat file. If you can somehow chuck it in the apple mobile OS’s face and make them accept it, you technically installed your own app without using App Store!
There are two types of IPA’s, the first are the ones that are verified, these are the ones you can find on the App Store. The second are the ones that are unverified, which means you can’t install it through App Store.
Apple used to be not a ***** and actually allowed you to install an IPA through their legacy iTunes app(windows or apple).
But now it isn’t so this guide exists.(Shout out to android)
CLARIFICATION: the following guide is only intended for windows users.
Required prequistes:
1 windows device, 1 mobile iDevice, 1 usb cable
step one: Get legacy windows media player(REQUIRED!!!)
step two: Get iCloud and iTunes(from apple, not from microsoft)
step three: Go to sideloadly.io and download sideloadly
step four: install sideloadly
step five: try to find an IPA you wished to install(recommended: YouTube++, Spotify++,getting over it)
step six: open sideloadly
step seven: click on ipa icon on the top left and select your desired IPA file
step eight: open advanced options and toggle on the parameter”Try to support older devices(iOS 8+)”
step nine: connect usb cable from windows device to mobile iDevice
step ten: click the button on the bottom and wait for side load to complete
Final step(optional): buy the creators of sideloadly a coffee on patron!
So yeah that’s that.
If you have questions just ask me in the comment section
I might follow up on this post.(Hope technology content is allowed)
PS: sorry for the lack of pictures, first time blogging, just a test
As a non-Apple user, I’ll leave it to others to comment on the usefulness of this information. Thanks for sharing.
With all due respect, I think most apple users get stuck in the apple ecosystem and don’t care downloading IPA’s without the app store.
I know, I was just trying to share some knowledge
Plus that’s why I am writing this post, to educate apple users. Plus sideloading is really useful
Also you know who i am right terry?
totally, your joh***
