Hey guys, what are your favorite sci fi books? I mean for me, it’s definetly dune because of it’s amazing world building and political depth. And also because the book has aged so well and maintained it’s relevancy, like it was published in 1965!
When I was preparing for the seminar questions,I intend to make the questions not so tedious. So I jumped out of the quotes, and write some philosophical questions. But they still have slight connections with these quotes so that everyone can score on Criteria A. And it seems like a very successful choice. In this seminar, … Read more
Got a 4 and a 7 in the seminar. It’s mainly because my analysis of the quotes wasn’t well connected to my opinions… And also, if I could speak more my performance would be better. I actually had more opinions than I said in the seminar, but I just feel like I need more time … Read more
Our seminar this time was about Literary Travel Quotes, at first i didn’t think much of it and thought it would just be a discussion of how the background of the author connects to what he wrote or some generic stuff like that, but i was completely mistaken. In the previous seminar on the literary quotes of travel, I scored a 6 (a), and a 7 (c). The seminar included questions that were vague, like your interpretation of the quotes. Because there’s 4 pages of quotes, we were talking about very different stuff, which caused the seminar to not be a “discussion” but … Read more
So we had another seminar. I got a A4C6, but the A4 was only earned from the second class. I think I did pretty well on the second class. I did miss connecting points in the first class, though. I could do better if I had connected more points and quotes in the first class. … Read more
Our seminar about travel‑themed literary quotes turned into a philosophical conversation about what travel truly means to human. Looking at how I did in this discussion, I noticed I struggled a bit with analysis (criteria A) at the very beginning. I mostly talked about my own opinions and daily life examples, but I didn’t really … Read more
My score was A4C6. From the seminar I learned that a journey may not necessarily be a physical journey. And journeys can give us more diverse perspectives to help us understand the world and gain more knowledge. I was quite initiative at the first two classes, but I stayed quiet during the last class. I think I should speak more … Read more
I think everyone did pretty well in the last seminar, and everyone that was here prepared at least a little bit about the quotes and content on the workbook. But as the leader, I think I could have finished preparing all my questions at home (as in the end I ended up changing at least … Read more
Reflection on my own performance: Score: 6 for “speaking”, 8 for “listening” I expressed my thoughts a lot during the seminar, but most of them are not really related to the quotes (only answering the questions the leaders gave us). I think this is why I only got a 6 for my “speaking” part🥲 (you … Read more
