Ok, I don’t think it’s as good as the art I did with the kids when they were creating this awesome franchise some 6 or 7 (excuse for silly animated hands gesture) years ago, but it is still an interesting experiment: describe the characters in a text-to-image AI and see what emerges.
Here are the results:
First, Aladin-Man himself, the hero of the stories.
Next, Aladin-Or, Aladin-Man’s brother and the king of this weird fantasy land. AI got the look right, but he’s supposed to be much shorter.
Next comes Aladin-Man’s magical wife, Freya and her magical friend Molly the super cat.
Next is the surprisingly multidimensional character Wutong Zakameeniat, not a good guy or bad guy but sometimes helpful and sometimes naughty.
And here is Hair-Dal riding his heavenly llama:
Next are the characters where AI was not so successful. First, Squad, a weird alien fellow who, like Wutong Zakameeniat above, is sometimes helpful and sometimes a nuisance but always has cool, interesting machines.
And finally I got AI to create an image of Dr Dinosaur the stegosaur scientist. Turns out the AI I used prefers to render dinosaurs as T-Rexes 💩
