Why There is No Correct Way to Speak English

First off the bat, different countries have different grammatical and spelling standards. Take American and British English for example. Some words are simply unrecognisably altered.

Also accents! Plenty of countries that are deemed ‘native speakers’ have accents that would be considered ‘wrong’ if they were spoken by people from any other country.

Besides, it is rather dubious whether a way to speak English can be wrong per se. The point of a language is communication, and if effective communication can be achieved who are we to deem one form of expression inferior?
