So in my opinion, English
is a global language, not a fixed, single standard, and there’re many reasons:
1: There are regional
varieties. English have their own versions in different
countries: British English, American English(colour), Australian English(thongs), Canadian
English(washroom), Indian English(scamar), and so on. Each has its own accepted forms for pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and spelling.2:
2:Language changes over time. New words and grammar always appear and become accepted by english speakers. (Thee/you)
3:Different contexts require different types of English. Formal / academic
English follows strict rules, while casual
spoken English allows some minor errors and mistakes. Something that is not suitable in an essay can be correct in everyday conversation.
