Our second seminar was about what makes a good blog post, including general discussions and feedback on a real travel blog example.
We mainly talked about two questions: how to create a unique writing style, and whether self expression or audience focused content makes blogs more attractive. The talk about writing style was basic with separate ideas, but the debate over self‑expression vs reader preference was very lively and took a fair amount of time. We also briefly looked at a travel blog and learned short descriptions with good images help make posts more appealing.
Seminar leaders improved discussion by using real blog posts for analysis. However, the long debate left little time for reviewing the travel blogs in detail. I also think writing down key points on the board would help following the discussion easier.
