I had to look up oleanders – for anybody else who doesn’t know, they are flowers.

A couple of minor language errors (probably typos) and there’s a punctuation error in your third paragraph, but it doesn’t negatively impact the read. I’m interested to read what happens on Charlotte’s journey.
