This is an interesting idea, which feels like the back story for a sci-fi epic. You could easily spin off a series of stories about the relationship you have established between the human colonists and the Elders.
I like the personification of the &#039;vines reeking with fear&#039;.
I think the fear of things disappearing would be enhanced if you changed &#039;people&#039; to &#039;things&#039; in this sentence &quot;But then, people started disappearing.&#039; That would have the effect of making your following description of the things that disappear escalate, building greater tension in the reader.

There are a few minor language errors, but maybe that&#039;s a good thing as it shows me you didn&#039;t over-rely on AI for this text.]]></description>
