I have spent most of July and August teaching on the University of Bristol’s pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme. This was a very rewarding experience. It was a chance to get back into the field in which I am now a certified expert. I was especially pleased to discover that visualisations formed a very important component of the course – the importance of visuals in academic writing was one of my key findings in my own research into EAP.
Here are some of the end of the course messages I received from students (a great bunch, mostly progressing to postgrad studies in Economics, whose grammar was somewhat more accurate in their assignments than the following messages):
Thank you very much.
[We] appreciate your passionate teaching to us.
Thanks for your help in these weeks.
Thank you!I enjoy this five weeks studying with you and it is also a wonderful experience learn about here from you. I’m appreciate that you always patience to us when we made mistakes, and I can still remember your smile which really makes me feel unwind.
So, I’m really thank for your teaching…
