Seminar

The recent seminar on the topic” Why Travel” provided an enriching experience. The seminar format involved presenting questions and group discussions, it allowed for a diverse exchange of ideas. This is also a great way to let students sharing own ideas, doing brainstorm also provides us a chance to practice our own speaking skills.

However, during the process, I did not join the discussion well since I was just lying on the table and sleeping, I am really sorry for my horrible behavior and regret that I did not listen to my classmate’s discussion. I really should join the discussion so I am able to hear others’ ideas, and learn from the discussion.(i am sooooooooo sorry about what I have done)

Although I did not share any my own ideas about “why travel” I am going to talk about some of my opinions about this interesting topic. Travelling offers a unique and invaluable opportunity to expand our horizons both physically and mentally. By going to a place that we have only seen on phone, books, internet before, when it has truly appear in front of you it provide a sense of feeling that is hard to explain. They witness of the impressive landscape, standing before a historic monument, or immersing myself in a new culture brings shock. These experiences engage our senses in ways that any digital stuff not able to replicate. The fresh air in the mountains, the sound of a different language, and the special or even odd taste of local food. Mixing together and turning into a special memory that people are able to remember for their whole life,  people are able to have their own perspective of a country or city rather than just listening to others’ words. In essence,  traveling transforms some knowledge into experiential, that can only be felt by ourselves.

  1. A very good effort at making up for a poor performance in the seminar itself. Maybe you could have considered some of the quotes about travel that I gave you?

This is your best piece of work so far this unit!
