Very interesting! I love the culture part of your blog. When I went to Chengdu I was only enthusiastic about the food; I didn't go to sanxingdui because I thought it was boring, and I only felt that the city atmosphere was different, but didn't think about why it is different. After reading your blog I kind of want to go to sanxingdui. It is not a dull museum anymore, but something connecting us and our ancestors. It is their way of expressing themselves. And now I also understand why chengdu is different from Suzhou or Shanghai.

A quick suggestion though, maybe including some pictures of sanxingdui can be better so the readers can see why it seems like "aliens".

This travel post is great~~ Your story of getting shocked by Chengdu’s “slightly spicy” hot pot is so true and funny You perfectly captured Chengdu’s warm vibe and unique charm of local hot pot. The writer is definitely a careful observer and foodie.(小馋猫).There’s only some past tense problems eg: “my family decided to at least step out” → should be: my family decided to step out at least(?
