The characters and stories of the magical kingdom of Aladinland were developed by a six-year-old and a four-year-old through their play together. They were using Lego which explains why there is so much destruction and reconstruction in many of the stories. As the children played and narrated the story they were creating, the editor simply wrote it down. Where there were any gaps, the editor also asked the children to elaborate on the stories to fill the gaps. The result is a series of interesting fantasy adventure stories that incorporate aspects of science and mythology as well as sci-fi, fantasy and magic. Whilst they were typed up and published by the editor, the characters, places and stories were created entirely by the children. The later titles were proofread by the children and any errors the editor made were corrected.
