Ocean belongs to all of us ,lifes in the ocean are finite and vital to us. Ocean pollution will has a great impact on the people in future. To achieve the goal of clean water and life under water (SPG 6,14)，we must act now.
Problem
Ocean pollution is getting worse.The main reason is nuclear water leaks in Japan, so Japan discharge the nuclear water into the Pacific Ocean. Aquatic lifes will die, the ocean ecosystem will be distroyed, and some species will disappear forever. People in the future won’t able to use ocean as a source.
Solution
First, we should isolate the contaminated areas, to prevent future spread. Then, we can remove the nuclear contaminants using equipments. Furthurmore, using chemical technology to remove sediments on seafloor is also useful. The seperation and dilution of radioactive isotopes, high tempreture and ion exchange can all be considered.
Call to action
Firstly, we all must pay attention to authoritative information, don’t believe the rumors online, nor don’t spread them casually. Then, choose regular supermarket to buy food, pay attention checking the origion, labels, inspection reports, and other information of the food. Try to avoid puchasing food from Japan and other affected areas. In addition, we need to enhance our immunity, maintain a healthy lifestyle. For example, eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water, exercise more and rest more. At last, we ought to raise our environmental awareness, reduce our dependence on nuclear and fossil fuel and use clean, renewable energy source.
