Mushroom Coding & Digital Design

Many students are interested in coding and digital design. So is the founder of Mushroom. Indeed, this website developed partly from a personal project to build an interactive website. Let’s share our coding efforts here 🙂

I know some students are fans of Scratch and would like to share their work. I have an account at: https://scratch.mit.edu/users/Mushroom_Education/ but unfortunately the Scratch site is not accessible in China.

If any student wants a coding challenge (html, php, css and javascript), it would be great to be able to share and play Scratch .sb3 files here on Mushroom…

Do you want to practise your coding skills and help improve Mushroom’s user interface?

You can download the files necessary to build a PLUGIN and experiment with new UI designs.

The Mushroom Story

Dr T started coding as a kid on the ZX Spectrum and later Atari ST. He grew up creating computer animation and became very familiar with the functions and user-interfaces of various design tools. In the mid-1990s, as the internet emerged and businesses realised they needed an internet presence, he completed some web-design projects for a few local businesses. Some years later, Dr T built a website to support his wife’s tutoring business. With a change of name, this morphed into Mushroom and has since gone through numerous iterations to get to the website you are browsing now. With help from students and continuing development and design by Dr T, this website will further improve in the future.
