“Why travel?” This is a interesting topic to discuss. My ideal traveling is usually to go to a big city with friends, where I can not only appreciate the local culture and scenery, but also enjoy the comfort and convenience of the big city. So my usual reason for traveling is to relax and escape the pressure of studying for a while. I usually choose to travel during holidays, so that I can have a longer rest time. But sometimes I choose to travel on weekends because it allows me to see scenery that is not usually seen on holidays (scenic areas without crowded tourists, comfortable weather…). I can choose a destination at will, go to some interesting trendy shops there, and see the local cultural and natural scenery.

this is my answer for the seminar discussion on ‘Why Travel?’ , because I spoke less and did not express my views in a timely manner during the discussion, so I leave it in my reflection. (otherwise I have nothing to reflect on.)

  1. Yes, it would have been better to have participated and then you might have more more depth in your answer. If you had been listening, you would know that the discussion became quite philosophical. You would also understand why you are getting a relatively low mark for this very superficial response to the question about travel.
