The Museum Collector

An epic adventure story written for children by children.

A successful adventurer known as the Museum Collector travels far and wide to collect educational treasures for the Aladinland Museum. On his way, he encounters all manner of interesting creatures.

This story was developed by a six-year-old and a four-year-old through their play together. As the children played and narrated the story they were creating, the editor simply wrote it down. The editor then asked them to fill in any gaps and where these gaps were not satisfactorily filled, he embellished the story a little bit. Before publication, the children reviewed the story and made any amendments that they saw fit. The result is an adventure story celebrating the educational value of museums and the different values people ascribe to different objects – one person’s rubbish is another person’s treasure.
